Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-05

Developer: Zaid Developer

Baraah app respects the privacy of its users. This policy explains the technical data the app processes and how it is used.

Analytics & Advertising

Baraah does not use Firebase Analytics. The app does not use Firebase Performance. No external ads from Google Ads or other ad networks are shown.

Crash Diagnostics

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose technical crashes and improve stability. Crash data is sent to Firebase when an error occurs. The app does not intentionally add suggestion text, FCM tokens, Baraah's UUID, or raw network request bodies to Crashlytics reports.

Notifications

The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications. The FCM token is only registered with the server when the notification permission is authorized by the operating system.

Technical Identifier

The app uses a random, app-specific UUID tied to the app installation for certain technical operations such as syncing, notifications, and suggestion submissions. It is not an advertising identifier or a hardware identifier such as IMEI, MAC address, or device serial number.

Data Not Collected

The app does not collect: location, contacts, messages, call logs, or audio.

Barcode Image Processing

Barcode images selected from the gallery are processed locally on the device. The image itself is never uploaded to the server — only the extracted barcode text is sent for lookup.

Product Suggestions

Product suggestions submitted by the user are sent to the server only after an explicit user action through the dedicated submission form.

In-App & Promotional Content

The app may log technical interactions with in-app or promotional content, consistent with the app's current behavior.

Data Transmission Security

All data between the app and server is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS.

Retention & Deletion

Baraah retains backend data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the operational, security, support, moderation, and legal purposes described in this policy. Users may submit privacy or deletion requests to support@baraah.net. Deletion requests are reviewed and fulfilled where applicable, except where retention is reasonably required for security, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or essential operational records.
